Mr. Bluegill

Fresh water permit? If your a flyrod fisher you have to love these guys. Fun, easy and in most cases they are in your backyard. Bluegill have to be one of the scrappiest fish I know of and they will fight you till the bitter end. I got to spend a few hours catching these guys this past weekend and I had a blast. When they are biting you barely have enough time to get the fly in the water before your pulling it out again. So the next time you pass that small creek or pond stop and pay your respect to Mr. Bluegill.

First time for everything

Well here we go! This is something I've wanted to do for a long time but I wasn't sure about it. I want to create a page as kind of a fishing journal for my trips, flies and maybe make a few friends in the flyfishing world along the way. If I can give some credit to a few species of fish that don't get the credit they deserve would be nice too. Warmwater flyfishing has been a passion of mine for a long time and I love talking about it. So hopefully I can find a way to put it in words. Follow along with me you should at least get a good laugh.
